On October 27th and 28th StoM’s partner Net7 participated at the 16th Annual Meeting of the German initiative for Network Information (DINI), held at the German National Library in Frankfurt; focus of the meeting: “Linked Data – Vision and Reality”. During the 2 days Meeting the theme has been presented by renowned experts, to introduce in Linked Data and to provide an overview for Web data.
The conference presentations had the aim to bridge the gap between basic concepts and technical tools, while focusing on practical applications and policy issues of science, such as the opening in the data processing. In the afternoon of the second day, Giulio Andreini – project manager and web designer at Net7 – has presented Pundit, introducing the concept of semantic annotation and its connection to the Linked Data paradigm. During the talk the annotation tool Pundit has been presented and used to practically demonstrate applications in collaborative data curation of online digital collections and StoM has been also mentioned as one of the most important project in which Pundit is used.
